When your calling is calling, tune in. A calling is a sacred compact between you and the Universe. You can feel it. You can hear it. If you can’t, it’s because you have put an obstacle in the way; you can remove the obstacle.
Once you hear it, you may act on it, or you may not. Having a calling does not alter free will. It’s not always easy to follow your calling once you hear it. A calling develops you. The Universe supports you following it—but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. It’s a sacred compact because it develops you and the Universe develops others and itself through you.
I’ve always known each of these things but never known what to call what I do. This is what I do: clarify calling, and support calling.
Clarity for Calling
I clarify calling in myself and others by tuning in and listening to what I hear, then following; and then tuning into that at a deeper level, listening to what I hear, then following. There is no need and often no way to follow a calling completely 100% to the end the instant you realize what it is. That’s not my experience of how it works. It’s a path. Again, it’s a path that develops you and at the same time, the Universe.
Support for Calling
I support calling by working the four supports:
The four supports are time, money, focus and mindset. Everyone has all of these, in varying amounts. Every calling needs all four, in varying amounts. I support calling by drawing your attention to your four supports, where they are strong and you should use them; where they are weak, and you should strengthen them–to make it easier to follow your calling.
(Something I love about seeing my calling so clearly is that I see how it brings together everything I do and have done, for example, all the blog posts on this website, in each of the categories! Each one supports my soul-colleagues in their calling, and writing them is part of my calling. So beautiful.)
Start Anywhere, Any Time
Any calling can start anytime using any of the four supports. Starting with one will lead you to the others. Using all four, together, is the way to go.
